Industrial Maintenance Mechanic Summary: Work directly for an established Middlesex County, NJ area building materials company as an Industrial Maintenance Mechanic. This hands-on position offers $34.20/hour plus a benefits package while playing a key role in keeping production equipment operating safely and efficiently. Job Duties & Responsibilities: * Perform preventive maintenance and troubleshoot engines, motors, pneumatic equipment, conveyors, and production machinery using diagrams, manuals, and technical specifications. * Diagnose mechanical problems, dismantle equipment, replace defective components, and make repairs using hand tools, power tools, hoists, cranes, and precision measuring instruments. * Fabricate repair parts and adjust, align, and inspect mechanical components using machine shop equipment, calipers, micrometers, levels, and other measuring tools. * Maintain maintenance records, parts inventory, and communicate equipment issues, repairs, and ongoing maintenance needs with production and maintenance teams. Required Skills & Experience: * Hands-on experience maintaining and troubleshooting industrial machinery and mechanical equipment. * Ability to diagnose mechanical problems using technical diagrams, manuals, precision measuring instruments, and testing equipment. * Experience using hand tools, power tools, and mechanical maintenance equipment safely and effectively. * Ability to perform preventive maintenance and mechanical repairs in a production environment. Preferred Skills & Experience: * Experience with conveyors, pneumatic systems, motors, or other production machinery. * Machine shop or mechanical fabrication experience.
