Remote VA Outpatient Medical CoderDutch Ridge Consulting Group, LLC. Fully Remote (U.S. Based)Dutch Ridge Consulting Group is seeking highly skilled, credentialed Outpatient Medical Coders to support Veterans Affairs (VA) facilities nationwide. This role is fully remote and requires exceptional accuracy, strong outpatient specialty coding experience, and eligibility for federal Public Trust clearance.Position OverviewYou will provide high‑quality outpatient coding services for VA clinics, ensuring compliant assignment of CPT, HCPCS, and ICD‑10‑CM codes. Coders must demonstrate mastery of NCCI edits, provider documentation interpretation, and productivity standards consistent with VA expectations.Key ResponsibilitiesAssign accurate CPT, HCPCS, and ICD‑10‑CM codes for outpatient encountersReview clinical documentation for completeness and complianceApply NCCI edits and resolve coding conflictsQuery providers when documentation requires clarificationMeet or exceed VA productivity and accuracy benchmarksMaintain strict adherence to HIPAA, VA privacy rules, and federal security requirementsWork effectively in a remote environment with consistent communication and reliabilityRequired QualificationsActive AAPC CPC certification (required)Minimum 2 years outpatient specialty coding (primary care, cardiology, GI, ortho, neurology, oncology, pain management, or similar)Demonstrated proficiency with CPT, HCPCS, ICD‑10‑CM, and NCCI guidelinesExperience coding for federal, VA, DoD, or large health systems preferredStrong understanding of documentation requirements and provider query processesMUST obtain and maintain Tier 1 Public Trust background checkU.S. citizenship (required for VA system access)Preferred QualificationsCOC, CPMA, or CRC certificationFamiliarity with VistA, CPRS, or other VA EHR systemsPrior experience with federal contracting or VA medical centersHigh accuracy rates (95%+) in previous coding rolesTier 1 Public Trust Background check through the VA
